Unfortunately, Boo! A Madea Halloween topped the box office this weekend with an estimated $28.5 million

Tyler Perry gets to keep making movies. Let that sink in. While you and I slave away at our day jobs (I do have a job besides this believe it or not), this talentless, cross dressing hack just topped the box office with his newest bowel movement, Boo! A Madea Halloween. The film made an estimated $28.5 million and with any luck will be out of all of our lives soon enough. Unfortunately, Tyler Perry will get to continue making movies. God damn it all.

Landing at #2 was another new comer to the top ten, Tom Cruise's Jack Reacher sequel, which made an estimated $22.87 million at the box office. The #3 spot was occupied by yet another newcomer, the horror sequel Ouija: Origin of Evil which scared up an estimated $14.1 million. The final newcomer to the top ten did not fare nearly as well as the other three. Keeping Up with the Joneses bombed with a measly $5.46 million, only good enough for the #7 spot.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children managed to come in at #6 with an estimated $5.89 million in its fourth week at the box office. The Burton-Eva Green fantasy film has earned an impressive $225 million worldwide. The fantastic Deepwater Horizon finished at #10 with $3.4 million. The Berg-Marky Mark disaster film is just looking to break even and has made only $95.3 million worldwide against a $110 million dollar budget. Next week sees the wide release of Tom Hanks' Inferno and nothing else. I suppose this will be the film to light the box office aflame. God that was torture. I'm sorry I made you read that.
